About the Event

This free event is designed to  help get youth hunters or adult-onset hunters introduced to the wonderful world of hunting and conservation.

Youth hunters must be at least 12 years old, and adult mentored hunters can be of any age. Registration is limited, so we will only be able to accept the first 48 participants to register below.

We would also like to thank the Swamplovers Foundation of Cross Plains for hosting this event at their beautiful location.

Hunters with physical disabilities please inquire about accessible accommodations.

Hunter Safety

All hunters are required to bring their DNR Hunter Safety Certificate to the event in order to participate.

If the participant does not yet have one, you can learn about how to acquire it via the Wisconsin DNR Website. They will give you 3 options on how to get your Hunter Safety Certificate, and we strongly suggest choosing Option 2 or Option 3. Option 2 is the Free WI-DNR Approved Internet Course accompanied by a Field Day. To sign up for this, please go to https://www.hunter-ed.com/wisconsin-hunt/

For questions on Hunter Safety, please call Ray Anderson at 608-698-9086.

To Register:

Please be prepared to provide the participant's First and Last Name, Date of Birth, DNR Customer ID (9 digit # on Hunter Safety Certificate or DNR Online Account), Home Address, and Parent/Guardian's phone number and email address.

Don't forget to download and complete the Waiver/Liability Form.
